We give free legal help in some situations. To be eligible, your problem needs to be something that we can help with. For many of our programs you will need to meet other eligibility criteria, like your income, for example.

As a charity, we prioritise helping people who are most in need.
We'll ask you a few questions and match you with any of our services that may be able to assist.
You can then complete full applications for assistance with the services in this tool. You control how much information you provide. You do not need to provide your identifying information until the last step of this process, when you can decide if you would like to submit a formal application.
We respect your privacy and confidential information, and have designed robust systems to protect your information.
Some of our services are delivered by our lawyers in our pro bono network. We may share your information with these lawyers for the purposes of finding you legal assistance.
We will not share your information with other service providers (other than lawyers that we are trying to recruit to provide you with legal assistance) without first seeking your consent.
Justice Connect is closed 24 December 2021 and reopening 4 January 2023. We will not be checking messages or reviewing applications for assistance in this period.

Justice Connect has a special legal service that provides legal help to not-for-profit and community organisations.
All not-for-profit and community groups are eligible for free information and can attend low cost training sessions. Groups that operate to provide services that benefit the community may be eligible for free legal advice as well.
